The original Gears of War is now available to download in the Xbox LIVE marketplace as an “On Demand” title. The big time third-person shooting game sells for $19.99 and will take up a serious, no-joke 6GB of hard drive space.
Gears of War is the second best-selling game ever on the Xbox 360, right behind Halo 3. This third-person shooter is known for its impressive cover system and addictive two-player co-op play. That and being able to chainsaw Locusts into piles of mush makes this game a must-buy for any Xbox 360 owner who has any interest in shooters. Gears of War joins other popular Xbox 360 games available on Xbox Live such as Fable II, Grand Theft Auto IV, Mass Effect, and Bioshock.
