Game Informer has confirmed that Bungie’s 2010 shooter Halo: Reach will be the magazine's next cover story, ending speculation on the matter from last week (Fallout: New Vegas). The magazine posted up the cover (below) and has also promised 10 pages of exclusive details, brand new screenshots, and game/character art - to be found in its February 2010 issue. The image below looks very similar to a squad-based setup, which we will undoubtedly find out for sure when the issue hit's subscribers mailboxes. For now check out the official cover of next month's issue below, then make sure to pick-up your own copy next week.
Taken from part of the game’s opening cinematic, the video provides the first look at the story of Halo: Reach, which introduces players to Noble Team, a squad of battle-hardened Spartan soldiers. “Halo: Reach” charts the story of Noble Team in their heroic stand to defend the planet Reach, its people and secrets against a ruthless assault by an alien collective known as the Covenant. Halo: Reach is being published by Microsoft Game Studios and launches in the fall of 2010 exclusively on Xbox 360. The Reach multiplayer beta is coming spring 2010, which players can access exclusively through Halo 3: ODST; stay tuned to PlanetXbox360.com for more info on this highly-anticipated shooter.
