To help support the victims of the devastating Haiti earthquake that shocked the world earlier this week, the fine folks at Bungie are rallying the gaming troops and pulling the online community together to help do all that they can. There are two ways one of the most infamous Xbox 360 developers are attempting to help-out the millions of Haitians who need support. First, they have created their own special edition of the Superintendant t-shirt (it's actually a really cool t-shirt - I ordered one for myself) where 100% of the profits will go to the Haiti relief support.
In addition to that, Bungie are donating 100% of the profits made on any Bungie apparel or accessories from now until the end of February to the cause (only through their online store). For the second option, if you don't have the extra money to offer, they are running an online promotion that will take place Wednesday and Thursday of next week, where you play Halo 3 or Halo 3: ODST with a special Hero emblem and for every 1,000 players the developer will donate $100 to the relief support, up to a maximum of $77,000. Click the below link to head over to Bungie's special relief page and see what you can do to help the cause, awesome work guys/girls!

Special message from Bungie: "At 4:53pm on Tuesday, January 12th, 2010, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake swept through the Republic of Haiti and shook the nation to its knees. We’ve watched in shock, horror, and sadness as men, women, and children scramble amidst the rubble looking for friends, family, and loved-ones. We struggle to make sense of it and can’t help but feel helpless as we witness their struggle for survival from afar. Sadly, the situation is only getting worse.
For some of us, this is a grim reminder of our own tragedies. We hear echoes of the ocean spilling into the streets of New Orleans. We recall broken buildings slipping away from our skylines, falling into dust. And as shattered families in Haiti begin their own relief and rescue effort, we are reminded that the divide between our nations and our peoples is not so wide, that we are not so different, and that we are not so helpless."
