Norwegian newspaper DagBladet is reporting that the hihgly-anticipate RPG Mass Effect 2 will likely receive day one (or possibly very soon thereafter) downloadable content, on it's upcoming release of January 26, 2010. The rumor also says that the usual items, such as armor and weapons will be available, but also other things such as an unlockable planet and even a new ally by the name of Zaeed Messani could be included in a day one update. The article below also mentions an in-game store for unlocking the rumored DLC called "Cerberus Network," which Bioware fans will be familiar with from Dragon Age: Origins' DLC offerings. Stay tuned for more on the rumored Mass Effect 2 DLC in the next couple days, right here at PlanetXbox360.com.
Later Bioware posted the following message on their official Twitter page: “Addressing rumors: BioWare will not be charging extra for any new Mass Effect 2 content on launch day. More DLC details next week.”
