Assassin's Creed II "Bonfire of Vanties" Releases Thursday
by Eric Bush
Ubisoft’s just confirmed via social networking site Twitter that it’s releasing the highly-anticipated second piece of DLC from Assassin’s Creed II, Bonfire of Vanities, this coming Thursday. There are two different versions of the add-on content, the basic one costs 320 Microsoft Points and the one that includes three new secret Templar locations for a cost of 520 Microsoft Points. The tweet just sent out by the games publisher says:
“#AC2 DLC 2 “Bonfire of Vanities” will release on February 18 on PS Store and Xbox Live.”
Also called Sequence 13, Bonfire of the Vanities expands the game with you and Machiavelli trying to stop the mad monk Savonarola from achieving his ultimate goal of dominating Florence – or whatever it is that mad monks like to do.The DLC includes ten new memories, a new district of Florence, and a new move called the spring-jump. Other than that there isn't much information as to what exactly will be taking place in this second add-on but we do know it will feature the classic Assassin's Creed II style gameplay that made the game so fun, even the first DLC was a blast to play through. The first shots of the DLC also just got out as well, click the image below to see them both. The first piece of DLC, which we rated as amazing, titled The Battle of Forli, was released last month on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Stay tuned for our impressions on the Bonfire of Vanties DLC later this week.
New Templar Locations:
Palazzo Medici – Located in Florence, the player gets to explore the house of the Medici family. It is located in the San Marco district of Florence.
Santa Maria dei Frari – Located in Venice, in the San Polo district, the player gets to explore this renowned church built in the XIIIth century.
Arsenal Shipyard – Venice was known for its Arsenal, a shipyard that was settled in the eastern part of the city. The last Templars’ Lair is located there, and lets the player explore the Drydocks.
How: Must own a disc copy of Assassin’s Creed II on Playstation 3 or Xbox 360, have an Internet connection to download the additional content and a minimum of 1.0 GB of memory available for each DLC.
